Today, I was planning to go out do some photography outside. But, the 8 degrees F and blowing wind in Rochester, thought differently. So I tried and my older Kodak EasyShare C533, froze after taking 3 pics. What a blessing as we froze more as we walked to toward places to pay our taxes for the house. My hands were, with gloves, were freezing. If the camera was working, more problems than I would want to imagine.
I forget all reason, when I want to get a picture, especially when I am in places less traveled. I got one shot, which is posted and that is good for today.
Not being able to go outside and "play," allowed me to look at more art on different artist's sights. Slightly addicted to DA - on here more than Facebook.
I thank God for camera malfunction!!! TY, LFLLtA

Nightmare???
1/31/13
It is a week or so before it is a year marker for my Dad's death (2/6) and my (Great) Aunt Daisy's (2/9). They meant more than I could put into words to me and to loose both in one week (I know I am not the only one that felt their lose, they touched a lot of people's live, just really good people). It is just hard to believe, my Dad who died of ALS, was 65. Miss him so. He was my stepfather, not my father by blood, but the the man who was there for almost 40 yrs of my almost 46. Just a good, real man!!! Aunt Daisy, my second Grandma, just a really good friend, who I loved to talk to. She showed me, Aldi's in Penn Yan. My Grandma'

Today, at 3PM is the last official service for The Lutheran Church of Peace. It is the church and church family, I had for a good part of 30+ yrs, when I turned off or on the need to be there (honesty). The church I went through the ranks (don't know the right word to use) of alter boy, choir, helping with 3M's dinner, janitor, church council, etc. I got to know and love some really good people and fellow Christians. This church and the people are very dear to me and engraved in my soul.
It is just that it took me, long to grow up, for many reasons. 39 being the magic number (anyone knowing the Jack Benny reference might get a
6 Degrees F Outside Before Windchill
As I sit here listening to the 6th track ("Body and Soul") on Keith Jarrett and Charlie Haden's CD, "Jasmine," I ponder the effects the dropping temps in New York. It is too cold for me to desire going out to do anything, let alone live out there as a lot do.
My thing has always been homeless pets. We have a grey and white street cat that has been around for awhile. He(?) has been through some scuffs and his body shows it. I have at time tried to pet him, when I find him sleeping under various places in our yard. He has a tendency of sleeping under the back end of the parked car on the side of our house, it worries me. I tried to get him
Art Heaven
I just found out about this sight, a few days ago. It is a sight, I am really enjoying seeing people's artsy side. It helps me feel better about what artfully goes through my mind.
Generally, mostly everyplace I go, I have a camera. It is part of my eye and arm, some understand, most don't. I love photography, because I love God's beauty. So refreshing in every caption. TY,L, FLLA
